Research About Caregivers is Crucial - Seeking Caregivers to Participate in The Arc's FINDS Survey

The Arc of the United States, in collaboration with the Research and Training Center on Community Living at the University of Minnesota have launched the 2017 Family and Individual Needs for Disability Supports (FINDS) Survey which seeks to capture experiences of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families on a range of life-span issues.

April is Autism Awareness Month!

During the month of April, we celebrate National Autism Awareness Month. This month was created by the Autism Society of America in April of 1970 to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that affects an individual’s ability to communicate and interact with others. Symptoms often appear in early childhood and recognition of the signs can increase early diagnosis and interventionwhich can change lives.
