Work begins on Missouri’s First Accessibility Focused Golf Course

Some sports are designed for anyone and everyone to enjoy. Traditionally, golf has not been one of them.

Not only are golf courses unfriendly ground for those in wheelchairs or anyone using adaptive equipment, the sport (and everything you need to play) is typically expensive.  

Modified clubs, tees, and carts do exist - but they're not easy to come by... and even if you have them, most courses cannot accomodate them. 

That's all about to change in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Ground-breaking for the Ken Lanning Golf Center happened in early June, and project organizers hope to have the new course completed by late Fall.
