Today is Friday the 13^th: a day of superstitions, urban legends, and myths.

It’s also a day to remember that when someone believes something, it’s a reality for them. Even if what they believe is totally incorrect.

We see it all the time –  agencies thinking about upgrading to electronic records from a paper-based system have heard all kinds of crazy (and ridiculous) things about software. There are rumblings about the cost, horror stories about the requirements, and rumors about being forced into a particular platform by a mandated statewide system.
